On Sunday, March 26th, 2017, I attended the 5th annual Multicultural Women’s Forum Big Hat Brunch. This is an event put together by an all women organization through Smeal where they showcase and recognize women and their achievements. The Big Hat brunch is usually held during the last week of Women’s Month in March. This year’s keynote speaker was Luciana Cook, an entrepreneur and former contestant on BET’s Queen Boss. Nia Sena, VP of Multicultural Women’s Forum, talks about this year’s event and the sequence of speakers and performers.
