Steve Winston walked away from a career in advertising when he was 31 to follow his dream of being a musician.
Now he performs solo and plays bass for Los Blancos, a jazz band based in Syracuse, N.Y. He is passing on his love for music by giving other performers a venue to begin their careers by hosting Open Mic Night at Shifty‘s, the Syracuse pub where he first started to solo.
