Most students come to college hoping to do well in their courses while still having a social life, Sarah Kerpovich, does it all and so much more. Kerpovich is a senior at Misericordia University in Dallas, PA majoring in psychology and biology. Hoping to make a difference in the lives of anyone she comes across.

U2FyYWggS2VycG92aWNoIHdpdGggYmFieSBzaGUgaGVscGVkIG5hbWUsIE1hZGVsaW5lLiA=Kerpovich is a full time student, intern at the Luzerne County Courthouse, and employee at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Kerpovich says that she likes being busy; a typical day for her is non-stop from 8am-11pm. On the weekends she likes to spend her time with her family, friends, boyfriend, and her dog Kali; whom she would like to one day train to be a therapy dog.

Kerpovich comes from a big family and says this is probably why she is so passionate about caring for others. In 2010, Kerpovich’s mother lost her fifteen year battle to breast cancer. Her mother’s passing inspired Kerpovich to major in the medical field and inspired her to work at the General Hospital as a nurse’s aide. Kerpovich spoke about how when you work in a hospital, every day is a new experience. Her favorite part about it is the opportunity to save lives and to also help with the process of creating new lives. She says that she once got the opportunity to name a newborn, which she named Madeline.

Kerpovich hopes to inspire other people to work in the medical field. She stated that “I got into this field to help people, but honestly, you can help people in so many different ways, even by just simply shooting a stranger a smile.”

Kerpovich lives a busy life; between school, interning, and working at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Kerpovich says that she wouldn't want to live her life any other way. She is there within "a heartbeat" and willing to give anyone a helping hand that needs it. Here she takes us through her daily life; from the moment she wakes up, to the moment she goes to sleep.
